Follow Friday

Each Friday I’m  going to alternate between follow Friday and Favourites Friday, This Friday another blogger made my day, I was searching through some lovely photography when I came across something that really jumped out at me, a subtle yet stunning black and white fushia photo taken by the fantastic people over at Derwent Valle Photography when I seen the photo I loved it, but suggested (rather cheekily that a touch of colour on the flowers would look great – to which they replied they would give it a go and posted this morning the most beautiful photo I have seen today (and I follow some great photography blogs – my secret love) and I love it so much it’s inspired me to A – tell you lovely guys about it and B – get my camera out and use it for something other than beauty blogging.

So guys at Derwent Valley photography – I would like to thank you for being so awesome and doing that for me, and inspiring me to get off my lazy butt and go learn some fabulous new photography skills

PS – the image is the actual colour adjusted image from derwent valley photography – it means a lot to me to give credit where its due 🙂

Nail Polish tracking project

Okay if you’re anything like me and have lots of nail polish, and you always end up buying either the same or similar colours but at the time are convinced you don’t own this amazing colour, then this may be a project for you as it really does help me keep track of what I do and don’t have.

Maybelline Masterpeice Eyeliner Felt – Black – Review

Maybelline Master Piece eyeliner Felt in Black

This without a doubt is my failsafe eyeliner whenever I can’t be bothered It is very very exceptionally rare I’ve messed up with this eyeliner (so rare I can’t ever remember doing so) and it always goes on perfectly.

At first I hated any liquid eyeliner, then I tried this one and I absolutely adore it, it’s changed the way my eyeliner looks (going from previously big and just a tad scary to sleek, subtle and feminine.

I have had this eyeliner for quite some time now and I’m probably due to buy a new one at some point soon however I can’t decide if i should get another one of these or somethign different, not because I’m bored just because I like to try new things…probably be both if I’m honest.

Onto the product itself
The packaging is very durable its been through bag trips, night away from home and several make up storage over hauls as well as the various methods of every day storage I have used over the time I have had it.

The product itself is easy to use, fairly well pigmented, it stays put and doesn’t budge, I hardly have to full in any creases and once its dry which usually takes 3-5 seconds tops it stays put all day long, it usually out lives all the other make up on my face. Although it doesn’t claim to be waterproof I have been swimming in the sea with it on and it has stayed put there too so happy days.

I have to say as well, the nib is surprisingly flexible but not in the way that would make you smudge your eyeliner, it isn’t hard but I wouldn’t say its ultra soft, I think they’ve got it just right on this one. I don’t feel it glide across and I get perfect lines every time.

Over all it lives up to its name, it is a bit of a masterpiece well done maybelline!

Sunday Morning Sleep with my Cuties

Okay these little animals truly make my day everyday. I have another one but she was out busy keeping the local lizard population down and that is my cat Pancake, mother of my lovely and very (normally) lively kittens. So she will feature in a future post.

This is my little dog Alfie (nickname – Doodles) he’s cute playful and infinitely cheeky but once I get him to focus (and with a little help from tasty treats) he picks up tricks super fast, I taught him 8 tricks in under 2 weeks. He is what we called a Cyprus special, adopted from the local flea market for free where I found him shivering cold in a box with cold greasy chips and in a puddle of pee and a pee soaked blanket, One looks at that cute face told me I would be leaving with this adorable mutt.

These are the endlessly naughty ultra playful kittens, sleeping from their morning activities of jumping around clawing each other and chasing flies in the garden.

We have Bella, the black one, the most weary of them all, she tends to sit back more and watch before acting, very relaxed.

The fluffier and bigger out of the ginger kittens with the plain collar on is Sammy – shes super cute and was the middle kitten born of those that survived birth (we lost one that wasn’t ready to be born an hour after she was born) Sammy is the least active of them all preferring to stick by her mum but I dare say the smartest with her weening off milk and moving onto cat food and litter training the fastest.

Last but not least with the black pattern collar is Sabrina (the witch) she is by far the naughtiest and most inquisitive cat of all three, she gets into everything everywhere and if youre silly enough to have bare feet and wiggle your toes she will try to catch and kill. she might be small but those claws are razor sharp, she is very funny however
